Installation instructions as well as the required license file are available below.

Step 1 - Download License File

The Minitab license file referenced in the installation instructions is available here. In the process of downloading the license, and the files below. you will receive a message from Google Drive that the software couldn't be scanned for viruses. This is normal because of the file type, select Download Anyway

Step 2 - Download and Install Software

Minitab 19 - Mac

Before you begin, if Minitab 19 is already installed, uninstall Minitab 19 by dragging the Minitab icon from the applications folder to the trash and reboot the computer. Minitab 19 Mac download link.

  1. Save the license file from Step 1 to your desktop

  2. Download the Minitab 19 installation package here Minitab v19 Mac

  3. Begin the installation

  4. When prompted “How do you want to activate the software”, select “Activate with a license” and click Continue.

  5. From the “Select a licensing method” window, select License File.

  6. Click Browse and browse to the license file that was saved in step #1 and click Continue.

  7. Click Install and complete the installation.

After the installation is complete and you confirm that Minitab launches without error, the license file (Minitab.lic) can be deleted from the Desktop.

Minitab 19 - Windows

Before you begin, if Minitab 19 is already installed, uninstall Minitab 19 using the steps below: - Right-click Start > Apps and Features. Browse to Minitab 19 and click Uninstall

  1. Copy the license file from Step 1 to your desktop

  2. Download the Minitab 19 installation package Minitab for Windows - 64 bit

  3. Begin the installation

  4. When prompted, select “Activate with a license” and click “Next”.

  5. From the “Select a licensing method” window, select “File”

  6. Click “Browse” and browse to the license file that was saved in step #1 and click “Next”.

  7. Click “Install” and complete the installation.

After the installation is complete and you confirm that Minitab launches without error, the license file (Minitab.lic) can be deleted from the Desktop.
